Washington For Christmas (part 3)

Continuing on our trip, we stayed our last night on the road in Montana, from there we hit the gorgeous Rocky Mountains.

Going through them there was snow, just beautiful.

In Idaho we stopped to check out some falls and found a great little coffee shop.

At 8 pm that night we finally arrived in Point Roberts Washington. I thoroughly enjoyed the drive out, so many sights I’d not seen in years. What a wonderful country we all live in, God is incredible to have created such beauty.

Psalms 95

4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also

5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

Washington for Christmas (part 2)

After a delicious breakfast of pancakes and fruit made by our generous hosts we left Rodchester Minnesota and hit the road. Half way through the day we crossed the boarder into North Dakota, it was very windy there. We went through Jamestown where Louis L’amour trail is. It is also the home of the great white buffalo, there is a little western tourist town which was really cool but closed, one could still walk through it.

Western town

At the end of the town was a huge buffalo statue.

After a long days drive We arrived in Dickinson North Dakota where we met the pastor of the Calvary Chapel there who showed us to the home of the youth pastor and his families who was out of town but generously opened there home to us to stay over night and prepared food for us also.

Long day on the road

What a blessing. The next morning we ate, cleaned and packed up than enjoyed a morning of fellowship at church. As soon as church was over we hit the road where soon we found Roosevelt National park where the possibilities of seeing buffalo, prairie dogs and wild horses were anticipated.

Prairie dog

We did see a couple buffalo, one horse and lots of prairie dogs. We did not complain.
